ORLANDO BISHOP'S CONFERENCE
The Orlando Sentinel reports on the agenda of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops meeting in Orlando starting today. Two items are on the agenda
1. New translations for the Roman Missal
2. Recent surveys of Catholic attitude toward their faith.
Orlando's Bishop Wenski seems to think "Secularism is a growing concern that requires a pastoral response from the bishops and the priests. Catholics' collective identity has been weakened by Americanization and heightened individualism." There is no mention of the weakening caused by the Bishop's response to the sexual abuse scandal.
