MOVIE BAIT FOR BOOKS
According to William Donohue of Catholic League, "The Golden Compass" starring Nicole Kidman, is a watered down version of Philip Pullman's first volume in the trilogy "His Dark Materials" that will entice parents to buy Pullman books for Christmas. Donohue charges that Pullman, a "militant English Atheist", targets children and adolescents with his anti-Christian message, which becomes progressively darker as the series advances.
Catholic League offers a booklet titled "The Golden Compass: Agenda Unmasked" at their website.
