OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECY FULFILLED IN JESUS
Isaias foretold that the Messiah would be born of a virgin.
Isaias began to prophesy ten years before the foundation of Rome, and the ruin of Ninive.
Isaias VII: 7:14 (Douay Rheims)
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign, Behold a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and his name shall be called Emmanuel.
The prophecy fulfilled:
Matthew I:22-23 (Douay Rheims)
Now all this was done that the word might be fulfilled which the Lord spoke by the prophet, saying: Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
