WHERE WILL THE BISHOPS STAND THIS YEAR ?
May. 23 (CWNews.com) - Gay-rights activists from the Rainbow Sash movement have announced plans to provoke a showdown with Catholic bishops in major American cities on Pentecost Sunday once again this year, by attending Mass and presenting themselves for Communion while wearing their distinctive sashes.
The activists will be wearing rainbow sashes, the group says, to protest "homophobia" within the Catholic Church. The protests have become annual events at cathedrals in several US cities. "Some bishops have welcomed us in the past, and we are thankful for their welcome."

"...to protest 'homophobia' within the Catholic Church." How will the bishops spin it if they decide to avoid the confrontation again? If they do avoid it, it will continue to arise. Will the bishops stand with the teachings of the Church? I pity the cathedral rectors who will be the ones who have to take the brunt of this conflict when the bishops weasel out. Every one of our bishops should be present in his chair in his cathedral on Pentecost this year, for every one of the Masses that are said in his cathedral. The challenge will have to be met sooner or later. It is not going to go away, and the gays are leaving no doubt as to what this challenge is about.
