Newsday editor Alex Martin describes going home to New Orleans, and the heartache of seeing his father's home completely destroyed.
He goes on from there to give the story of his niece, a licensed practical nurse, who spent 4 days in a hospital caring for patients they had moved to the second floor because the first floor flooded nearly to the ceiling.
